National Family Volunteer Day

St. Joseph’s families and families from all over the Baltimore/Washington Region gathered for a National Day of Service. My mom wrote a grant to allow families to volunteer together for Bundles of Love. It was an amazing day!! What usually took us several days to accomplish was done in one hour! We had 30 adults and kids who helped sort, compile, stuff and wrap 22 Bundles of Love. Then the families that could, took a bundle to deliver to Washington and Baltimore street homeless. My dad drove his truck loaded with bundles and my friends and one of my friend’s dad drive his car behind us. We delivered our portion of the bundles to an encampment near Martin Luther King Blvd. in Baltimore. The people were so happy and one guy said, “Let’s take a funny photo together. Everybody make a silly face!”funny-photo
