St. Joseph’s RCS Community Service Project for Catholic Schools Week

My Principal had a great idea to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week. We had out ENTIRE school, all the kids and staff gather in our auditorium to compile Bundles of Love for the homeless. It took us about 90 minutes but we did it! Each glass came to the stage and “shopped” from all the supplies, then took them back to their blanket and put their Bundle together. When we were finished we had 10 completed Bundles. We said the prayer of St. Francis over the Bundles and put all our love into them.

Then we headed to church for a school mass. When we got there we saw a homeless man who attended our mass. We couldn’t believe our eyes! We KNOW it was our prayers and love that brought him to our church. He was the first recipient of one of our bundles. We were so happy!
